5 Ways To Think Like An Innovator
LT Summer ForumÂ
12 JuneÂ
Theatre 2
2:30 - 3:00pm
“Those who innovate, who are prepared to challenge long-held assumptions, achieve results beyond their expectations, “explains Kate.Â
“Our aim is to learn from some of the world’s most innovative thinkers. We hope people will leave the session buzzing with ideas about how they can approach workplace learning differently and apply innovation to their own organisational challenges.”  Â
Kate and JD believe L&D can gain inspiration by looking outside the sector to see what it is that sets the world’s top innovators apart. They’ll be asking: “What is it about their creativity, passion and mindset that drives them to achieve incredible results? And how can we apply some of their genius to learning right now?”Â
JD said: “We live in an age of disruption. It has never been easier to bring innovative ideas into reality. Technology is helping us solve problems in new ways, but it is also redefining how we relate to and work with one another. This is a critical inflection point in workplace learning. We want to challenge people to look critically at their established practices and take inspiration from those who applied an innovator’s mindset to redefine their craft.”Â
The session will link innovation to real life results and offer practical ways for attendees to rethink learning in their own organisation. Attendees will also learn how to:Â
- Understand the importance of creativity in helping people learn
- Prove the business impact of learning
- Make the right choices about emerging technologies
- Put the user at the centre of everythingÂ
- Reimagine one of the oldest, most overlooked innovation tools Â
